Shelly Says ~ "Stop, Drop and Pray"

There is so much power in prayer.

This is an ongoing list of requests. Feel free to visit often, add requests in the comments section, and pray often.

I will Stop, Drop and Pray for you.

10 comments:

  1. For my 14-year-old granddaughter Hannah who has been having seizures which the neurologist believes is caused from medication she is taking for anxiety and depression. Please pray that she will be healed for the anxiety and depression and will come off the medication. Pray for her parents for unity and to strengthen their marriage.

For my son Vince in prison and his family, that God will continue to protect him physically, mentally, spiritually and that he will come out in November with his faith intact and that God will continue to provide for his family’s needs.

For me to to lay my food addiction at the cross and to be able to get up earlier each morning and use this study as a launching pad to devote more time in study and prayer and to get closer to Jesus.

  3. Please pray for my husband, Jack and me to recover from some seriously annoying ailments. I have somehow injured my back so that I can't bend over at all. If I have to pick up something off the floor, I have to go straight down and straight up using my legs and holding onto something. Jack has a foot injury that gives him pains in his heel whenever he walks. These injuries make it hard for us to care for our German Shepherd, Max. Poor guy is not getting his usual long walks and playtime.

On a more serious note, please pray for my best friend's sister, Susie, who was in a bad car accident last night and is currently in the hospital.

    Thank You!!

God loves you and I love you and I have prayed for each of you this morning.

  4. Hi,
I was surprised by what shelters I have, such as video games, TV, keeping busy and never having time to spend with God. When I try to make time - say early in the morning - I fall asleep reading or praying - same thing if I try to stay up later. I have busied myself with mindless tv and video games on my computer. Please pray for me...

  5. I've been reading the book and working on the questions. I have part of the Scripture memorized. I had to memorize the Isaiah 61 in a previous Beth Moore study - or was it Disciple - or Crown - can't remember... LOL

I think it would have been a real downer to be Isaiah's friend. I would probably not have wanted to listen to him being all preachy. Then I would have worried what people would be thinking about me being his friend. I've never been that strong. When I read prophetic stuff in this day and age, I'm not sure what to think sometimes. There are times that I say, "Yes! Right on!" and then there are times I think, "Are you for real?" So I am praying that I get to know Jesus so well, these kinds of issues will be clearer to me.

And can't we all identify with those kings in one way or another? I see myself in them and am so glad that God is a loving and forgiving savior. Hallelujah!

  6. My granddaughter Hannah continues to have seizures. My daughter called me tonight as she was chasing the ambulance that was taking Hannah to the hospital. Thank you for your prayers and I am praising God for the situation - she is in the ambulance and they are caring for her. I pray they will figure out what is causing the seizures. God has the answers and I praise him... "I will praise him in the storm, and I will lift my hands..." I love that Casting Crowns song. It carries me through and helps me focus my attention on God.

  8. Thank you for all your prayers. I had a safe trip to and from Ohio. Although the memorial service was sad, it was also a celebration of a life well-lived. I also re-connected with some long-lost relatives and we have promesed to stay in touch.

Also, I want to let you know that my husband and I have both recovered from our annoying physical problems of last month. Thank the Lord!!

And now I would like to ask for your prayers for my mother-in-law. She is going to have to get a feeding tube (G-tube) implanted tomorrow or the next day. She is 90 yrs. old with Parkinson's and dementia and she lives in a nursing home. Two weeks ago she was in the hospital for pneumonia and when she came back, she didn't seem to want to eat. For the last few days she has not been drinking anything either. This is probably just the start of some difficult decisions that my husband and his sister will have to make.

Please pray that this procedure goes smoothly without any complications and that it helps Mary maintain her weight and current quality of life.

    Thank you all very much.

  9. My Mother-in-Law's G-tube was put in this morning and the procedure went well. I visited her this aft and she said she was fine and was not in pain. She was more alert than she has been in awhile.

Let's all pray for Adam Tanksley to have a clear cancer scan tomorrow. He is getting a 3-month check up tomorrow at 9:30 am.
